The Coalition Exhibition
For their Annual Exhibition this year W.R.Harvey & Co.(Antiques) Ltd are joining forces in a coalition with Callaghan Fine Paintings & Contemporary Bronzes to provide an exciting experience for visitors. The coming together of these two major dealers will provide a unique opportunity for friends and clients to see rare and wonderful pieces of Fine English Furniture from the 17th. 18th. and 19th. centuries combined with selected 19th. and 20th. century masterpieces from artists such as Marcel Dyf and Antoine Bouvard. To top off this brilliant showing, the galleries at Harvey’s, 86, Corn Street, Witney, Oxon. will also be furnished with some stunning comtemporary bronzes by Carl Payne and Benson Landes.
Although the exhibition will be open to the public from October 16th. and run until Sunday 31st October, it has been much longer in the preparation than two weeks. The idea came about in June of this year in the aftermath of the General Election when all the talk was of the new Coalition Government, David Cameron and Nick Clegg as Prime Minister and Deputy PM. Harveys and Callaghans had almost adjacent stands at the Summer Olympia Fair and in the quieter moments, David Harvey and Dan Callaghan found themselves discussing current politics and agreed to hold a joint exhibition with the aim of introducing their friends and loyal patrons to each others disciplines.
The more astute observers will have spotted The Coalition Exhibition is of course taking place in “Cameron Country” as Witney is the Prime Minister’s Constituency.
We are sure you will enjoy seeing the exhibition where all the items are for sale and hopefully you will find a piece or two to add to your collection.
