The winners for 2011 have been announced and celebrated at a fabulous gala dinner hosted by Eynsham Hall. The rooms were packed with people eagerly anticipating the results. Each categories' three finalists, who had been individually photographed by Mike Scott, were shown on the large plasma screens before the category winner was called out to receive the award from the category sponsor.

Finally the overall winner was announced and invited to receive the unique trophy designed by students at the Abingdon and Witney College, and crafted by Stephen Fletcher, a Witney-based artist.

The organisers would like to thank the many people who made the event happen. Not least everyone who entered the awards - there were at least 200 entries downloaded and 80 entries. They represent the great vibrancy of business in the area, and we encourage them to strive and enter in 2012 and beyond. The organisers also want to thank the sponsors who put their name to the event and trusted it would happen in the first year. Few entering the room at Eynsham Hall would have thought it was the inaugural year.

The quality of business in our area in outstanding and whether a winner or not, the organisers felt that everyone who was in the room on March 11, 2011 represented what is great about business in West Oxfordshire.
