W.R. Harvey & Co. (Antiques) Ltd specialise in fine English Antique furniture dating from the reigns of Charles II through to George IV.

Originally based in Chalk Farm, London, where we also had our restoration and conservation departments, we then expanded to gallery premises in Old Bond Street in order to provide an unparalleled service to our constantly expanding international clientele. In 1996, we moved from London's Mayfair to our charming and spacious Georgian property in Witney, Oxfordshire, where we are now able to display our outstanding stock of period pieces in delightful room settings. We have also recently moved our conservation department to Witney where it is constantly supervised by David Harvey.

Frequent visitors to our website will know how regularly we update this site, but even we have been surprised at the number of outstanding pieces which have come our way just recently. These include the most superb selection of early Walnut items, including a Burr Walnut Escritoire as well as sets of Walnut chairs and tables. The success of our annual themed exhibitions has been immense, with friends and clients coming from far and near to see the pieces and admire the settings. There are still copies of comprehensively illustrated catalogues available should you have missed these exhibitions.

After over half a century in the business of antique dealing, we have acquired a splendid collection of quality items ranging from cabinets to clocks to beautiful works of art. Within our showrooms you will find excellently preserved pieces dating from the 17th, 18th and 19th. centuries. Our stock includes items designed by Kent, Marot, Chippendale, Adam, Sheraton, Hepplewhite and Hope, and produced by such craftsmen as Gillows of Lancaster, Speer, Trotter, Morgan and Saunders, Bullock and Vile and Cobb.

In some instances, based on makers' labels, provenance or knowledge of particular cabinetmaking skills, Harvey’s are able to attribute items to particular makers such as Gillows.
